Welcome to Gerner Jahncke
We are artists Rick Gerner and Johanne Jahncke, We use ancient techniques to make use of soil collected from around the world to craete a nordic colour pallet on cermaic and glass vessels in our studion on the island of Bornholm, Denmark.
This collection is casted and decorated individually using a selection of glazes we made from soil and clay we collected in different locations on the Japanese main island Honshu and the southern Ryukyu island Okinawa.
